Peace or Love - Kings of Convenience (2021)

Il loro disco precedente era Declaration of Dependence, del 2009. Se la sono presa molto comoda, hanno pensato a loro o ad altri progetti, evidentemente, non hanno dimenticato la loro amicizia e vicinanza con la meravigliosa Feist (che impreziosisce Love is a Lonely Thing e Ask For Help), non si sono mossi di un millimetro a livello stilistico e compositivo. E' un bene? E' un male? C'interessa qualcosa? No, direi di no. I (a costo di diventare noioso anche a me stesso, ripeto ancora oggi la battuta che ero uso fare su di loro circa 20 anni fa) nuovi Simon and Garfunkel sono un oggetto delicato, che sa scrivere canzoni malinconiche, canzoni che, per alcuni momenti, sono perfette. Per altri momenti, possono davvero risultare insopportabili.

Their previous album was Declaration of Dependence, of 2009. They took it very comfortable, they thought of them or other projects, evidently, they have not forgotten their friendship and closeness with the wonderful Feist (which embellishes Love is a Lonely Thing and Ask For Help), have not moved an inch in terms of style and composition. Is it good? Is it bad? Are we interested in anything? No, I would say no. The new Simon and Garfunkel (even at the cost of becoming boring to myself, I still repeat today the joke I used to make about them about 20 years ago) are a delicate object, who can write melancholy songs, songs that, for some moments , they are perfect. For other moments, they can really be unbearable.
